SENIOR FRONTEND DEVELOPER
Who we're looking for
Connect.Me is looking for a select few who are passionate about quality code and hungry to learn how to build a great startup company and engineering culture. As a senior frontend developer, you'll be responsible for architecting our RIA-style Javascript framework to run against our API. We push code to production several times a day, so familiarity with test driven development principles and an obsession with code quality are a good match.
What you'll be doing
- Owning the Javascript frontend code
- Architecting a TDD, modular JS framework
- Pushing code to production on a daily basis
- Working with the CEO and design team to deliver unparalleled UX
- Fixing bugs and performance issues
- Helping build a team of experts you want to work with
What we expect
- Extensive JavaScript experience
- Experience with HTML5/CSS3
- Experience with unobtrusive Javascript patterns
- Understand innerHTML vs. document fragments
- Obsessive about the details
- Ability to code, test, and deploy on a daily basis
- Experience with Jasmine and CoffeeScript are a big plus
- Passion for learning, experimenting, and taking your skills to the next level

SENIOR WEB DEVELOPER
Who we're looking for
Connect.Me is looking for a select few who are passionate about quality code and hungry to learn how to build a great startup company and engineering culture. As a Rails developer, you'll be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying the next generation of the Connect.Me website. We push code to production several times a day, so familiarity with behavior driven development principles and an obsession with code quality are a good match.
We're looking for senior web developers who think big and code fast. It's more important that you have years of experience as an engineer building web apps than experience with Rails.
What you'll be doing
- Owning the Rails backend code
- Using RSpec and Cucumber to fully test your code
- Contributing to the JS frontend
- Pushing code to production on a daily basis
- Working with the CEO and design team
- Fixing bugs and performance issues
- Helping build a team of experts you want to work with
What we expect
- Extensive web app development experience in ruby, python, or PHP
- At least one project in Rails 3 under the belt
- Experience with performance testing and debugging
- Understand when and when not to use caching strategies
- Knowledge of unobtrusive Javascript patterns
- Experience with optimizing SQL joins and views
- Obsessive about the details
- Ability to code, test, and deploy on a daily basis
- Passion for learning, experimenting, and taking your skills to the next level
